How did you stop that bullet in that small of a bear ?? Are you sure it didn't pass through a tree first ? I' be never recovered one from any bear up to 500 lbs....

"IF" the bullet passed through a tree first before knocking down the OP's bear, I am definitely building a 28 Nosler.

It doesn't surprise me, having recovered Accubonds from even small deer.

I've also recovered a accubond from a cow elk at 400 yards..granted that distance accubonds are still my favorite bullet

Dang it OP,

I am so jealous of the color of that bear.
I would give a part of my body to take a cinnamon bear.

There are not a lot of color phase bears in the area I hunt in MT.
