28 Nosler and Retumbo

That use to be what Gunwerks used in there 28 Nosler ammo.

I agree, that is the recipe I have.

2940-2950 fps out of a 24" proof carbon sendero 1:8.

This is retumbo and 162 ELDX. I think I'm going to stick with this one. 3 shot group perfect triangle at half inch. 2981 fps 21" barrel.

I'm running retumbo in mine. 80.9 grains, nosler brass, cci 250, and a berger 195 eol seated to 3.735" coal. Shoots right at 3050 fps with single digit es out of a 26" barrel. This is an extremely accurate load in my rifle.

I actually used the 169 HH on a bison hunt out of the 28 Nosler. I also used Retumbo in this load as well. I am working 12s this weekend but when I get home I will look up what my load was. You'll like the 169 HH it was a beast on that bison.

I believe the load for my old 28 Nosler was 81.5gr Retumbo and a 180 Berger vld for 3175 fps and tiny groups.

This load worked well in my rifle but as always work up to it.

Getting dialed in. Haven't run it through the Chronograph yet forgot it this morning. Will now start stretching it out. Still a little hot getting light ejector marks. I am thinking about dialing it back .5g.
