28 Nosler and barrel life

I would not run one without a brake or suppressor to tame the demonic mule. I have a brake on my 28 Nosler and it kicks about as hard as my 6.5 Creed, I can shoot it all day and not feel any effects afterwards. My Stepson has a 300 WM that is light weight and after four rounds verifying zero, I started having a slight headache from the kick I was receiving.

I am going to try a bartlein mod 400 barrel next time they claim 150-200% barrel life. The mod 400 is $200 extra but would be worth it if it lasts 2x's as long.

Just curious what you guys see with barrel life with the 28 Nosler. Looks like a pretty fast round. Trying to decide between the 28 and the 280AI. Would be pretty much strictly a hunting rifle for elk size animals.

For hunting I will go whit 28 nosler
