270WSM Handloads

I have worked up a couple of 1/2 MOA loads for my 270 WSM using H4350. Right now I'm shooting CCI Mag Primers and 60 gr of H4350 behind a 140 gr accubond.

I hear MagPro and 4831SC are good choices as well.

With 140gr + bullets all I use is Retumbo in all the 270 WSMs I've had or built, they need slower powders, than most guys try.
YUP,.. THIS,. ^^^^
Retumbo, RL-26 and, IMR 7828 are, 3 Powders that, will Push 140's up to, the 3,200 FPS area,.. with good,.. "Accuracy".
Til' recently, the first 2,.. were,.. very hard to, Get.
140 grain, Berger, H-VLD's or Classic Hunters at, 3,200 FPS,.. Kill like,.. the "Hammer of Thor" !

Just to reinforce that it's not the caliber:
I have a semi-custom 270 wsm: stock action, custom barrel and trigger. My one three-shot group at 300 yards measured .946". The 100 yard groups are less than 1/2 inch. My developed load is:
IMR 4350 - 61.0 grains
CCIM (250) primer
Barnes TTSX 130 grain bullet
Muzzle velocity: 3250 fps

I also have a stock Tikka in the same caliber that groups sub-half inch at 100 yards shooting a reduced load for varmints:

SR4759 - 30.0 grains (This is a discontinued powder, but I have 9 pounds of it)
Remington 9 1/2 M primer
Barnes TTSX 110 grain bullet
Muzzle velocity: 2480 fps

Good luck
