I70 gr round nose speer works in a 270 win same twist I believe, I shot it just to see. It is about the length of the bullet, they say I couldn't do it with the same weight in Berger because it's too long. I bought a box anyway for a new custom 270 originally from Missouri so I've got to see it myself lol

Longest berger is 150vld

Not sure why you guys think the 150 is longer than the EOL 170. Higher BC is directly related to longer bullets. Pretty sure the 150 VLD is 1.29" while I know the 170 is 1.49 because I shoot them. And they will not stabilize in a 1:10 twist. Sure they might shoot ok at 100 yds but get down range a few hundred yards and stability will be lost which then not only effects accuracy but bullet performance when impacting an animal. Use the Berger Stability Calculator on their site and it will tell you exactly which bullets will and will not stabilize in a 1:10 twist barrel.
