.270 WBTY owners sound off ...

I have a switch barrel Win Model 70 EW with a 338WM barrel, 264WM barrel and a 270 Bee barrel.
The 270 Bee is impressive with 150's at 3350fps. I have some factory ammo that clocks above 3400fps in my 28" barrel with 150gr Spire Points.

Cheers.

You Sir is the first serious taker. Hopefully, others will follow. Please post some pictures of your rig to drool on.

Cheers!

Before and after of my 270wby. Added a muzzle brake on it also. Havent shot it much, just did the Proof barrel break in

Had one for a little while until I bore scoped it and saw some thing that looked like a defect or damage in the bore. (I think the preious owner damaged it, why I got it so cheap I would think. And I only wanted the stock and action) I shot it before I wrenched the barrel off. It shot ok even with problems in the bore. I really liked the low recoil. I think with the 270 berger eol the 270 wby could really be something.

Y'all, has anyone seen a 270 wildcat off a 7MM Rem Mag or 264 Win Mag? basically either of the two cases either necked up or down to 0.277" with a 1"8" twist barrel ? I was thinking of making this wildcat for myself. I thought it would rival the weatherby mag and be less expensive to produce.

I have pre64 mod 70 270 wby...formerly a 264 featherwt. 26.5" bbl.
7828 and 130 IBs 3500 no big trick.
7828 and 140 berger 3330
I havent tried any othe bullets. Gun shoots well!

It would be a nice cartridge: 270-7mm Mag, for the high BC bullets like the Berger 170gr EOL, that be cool

All I know about .270 Wby is that it is EXPENSIVE and SCARCE.......:D
It's no more expensive as any other round when you handload for it.
Brass outlay for me has been on par with other brass. I only buy Norma for it. My 416 Rigby brass runs 3 times as much.
Weatherby ammo on the other hand is ridiculously expensive, 20 rounds run $130 here.

Cheers.
