.264 Win vs. 270 Weatherby

Pondering a long range carry rifle, 10 lbs with glass, 700 LA. Have these two calibers in mind, just looking for opinions, barrel will be about a 3-4 taper fluted at 26in.

I had the same exact question back in 1979. A Sako rifle in 264 WinMag or a new Weatherby Mark five in 270 Weatherby Magnum. I chose the Weatherby Mark five.I love the rifle and I love the caliber, But I still think the 264 WinMag is an excellent long range Hunting round!! Good luck buddy you will be happy with either!!!

I vote 270 weatherby. The round has some serious cool factor and serious horsepower.
