I got into using the RL powders because I couldn't find H1000. I'm getting great accuracy in the rifles I load with the RL powders and don't want to cause unneeded barrel wear now just to use H1000. Don't fix what ain't broke.

MUCH less barrel wear with H1000. There is a chart called the Heat Index chart that gives not the burning rate but the heat produced by Various powders, and brother, this chart is an EYE OPENER!

AA2700 IS the approximate burning rate of the 4350's but is one of the coolest burning powders made

All these powders burn very cool.

ON the other end of the spectrum, very hot burning is the N550, N560

N160 has the burning rate of the 4350s, but the heat index is much higher!

What difference do you notice between IMR 4350 and H 4350 , I am about out of Retombo , but have both I use in my .243 , I have never tried the 4350's in my .264 yet

My brother always uses h4350 and loves it however I use imr4350 and really like it.
From what I understand is h4350 is more temp stable

H-series powders are the more temp stable than the IMR ones. My 264 wm is partial to 129/130 gr bullets especially the 130gr AB's. H4350 runs at around a muzzle velocity of ~3000 fps and IMR 4350 runs at ~2975 fps. Both are deadly accurate but as most of you know, the 264 wm is a hot barrel running mama so let it cool off sufficiently! H1000 and IMR 7838ssc mv's run 25-50 fps higher if that helps anyone.
