I have a 260 built on a trued stainless Remington action. 22" Shilen 1x10 twist barrel. It is a fluted barrel and contour is a copy of the Remington light varmint stainless. Jewell trigger. Stock is McMillan. Less than 100 rounds on it. It was built by Pete Piper in Hempstead, TX . Weighs 7.5# with scope, $1,400 plus shipping. Scope not included.

May I ask what was your preferred load, and how did it shoot ?
I'm sorta looking for a rifle for my skinny Son to deer hunt with.....recoil has gotten in his head, although it was my fault some yrs ago.
I know the caliber will be one that I'll fall in love with.
It would be nice to buy one where I already know it's favorite recipe.

Also, I'm guessing it's not, but the rifle isn't a super featherweight 5.5 pounder I hope??? It won't be carried far, so a little weight would be a positive.

Bullmark. It shoots the 130 gr Accubond well and also the 125 grain partition with 38.3 grains of V540 and 210M. The Accubond was just under .700 3 shots at 100 yards. and the partition was just under an inch. Weight with the light Zeiss was 7.5# on my bathroom scale. It is not a featherweight.

Coyotemaster, I don't remember ever shooting anything heavier than the 130 grain, I had a 13# fast twist rifle to do that.

26Reload, UPS can put anywhere is the US. lol

Scopebite65, Sometimes you just have to splurge, think of it as an investment!!!!

The 260 is an awesome caliber I have three of them .They are all super accurate and the best kids rifle ever
