I really like the quarter bores? I was reading about a couple of guys that did a 25GT (necked up 6GT). The purpose of a 25GT is to use the heavier, higher bc 130+gr 25 cal bullets that would be easier to spot misses (than a 6mm bullet), but the lower recoil of the 6gt case capacity than the 25 Creedmoor.
I really liked the thought of that for a build, but then I got thinking....would the 25GT case be pretty comparable to a 250 Savage capacity wise? Would the 25GT be somehow more "efficient"? Maybe the 250 Savage is not as easy to tune loads for?
Anyhow, I like the idea of a 25GT, but if a 250 Savage can get me the same thing without having to go full wildcat then I think that would be a better route for me. (And yes, the 250 Savage would have a fast twist too)
Thoughts?
P.s., please try to keep it between these two calibers. I know the 6 dasher, other 6BR variants, and 6.5-47L are great cases, but I'm not asking about those. Just thought I would get ahead if those comments
