.257 Whitetail Hunting Bullets.

in my 250-3000 I've used the 100 gr Sierra & 100 gr Barnes. Both are excellent killers.
This year I'm opting for the Berger 115 gr VLD.
These bullets should work well in the 25/06. I used to used that round exclusively but found I didn't need that much case capacity.
Good luck.

i have tried many different brand bullets in my 257 Weatherby mags , some in a 25-06 some in a 257 Roberts the 2 bullets that seem to always do a good job on deer and paper are Nosler partitions and Swift A-Frames . i won`t say what were the poor bullets that i have used . but i am going to try Hammer bullets this year 2022 , in 2021 so far these bullets on paper were very accurate have not used them for deer season yet but will fall of 2022, these Hammer bullets sure do look impressive.

I've had good luck with the Hornady 117 SST so far. They never even know they're hit it seems like. They stand there, twitch they're tail and fall over. Northern Missouri whitetails so they have so good size to them

I run 100gr Partions in my 257AI. I've used Hornady and Sierras over the years but have settled on this one. I run it hot too.

25-06 is a wonderfull cartridge hard to find a rifle that doesn't shoot well. I have been very pleased with the sierra 100 gr pro hunter bullets, if a little more payload is needed then sierra 117 gr prohunter. I have found that the flat base bullets exit with greater reliablity than the boat tail bullets.
This year I have been useing the Hornaday 117 sst due to avaiblity. This bullets has produced good results with most exiting.

I have always had great results with the 100 gr Nosler partition and more recently the 110 gr Accubonds in my sons rifle. They both exit without fail.

my son and i tried the 115 gr. VLD Berger bullets for 2 years and out of our 257 Weatherby mags because of the higher velocity these bullets came apart when it enter the bucks ,at a lower velocities probably be ok ,like under 3,000 fps. for 15 some years we used 100 gr. Nosler Partitions and 100 gr. Swift A-Frames and never had a problem with any bullets coming apart ,always had a exit hole close or a long ways away . next fall 2022 year i do want to try Hammer bullets they do shoot very accurate but i have no experience yet on an animal.

Tried the 117gr sst in 257 wby they fragmented wildly like a vmax even at 300yds. Right now im running the barnes 101gr lrx and while ive only taken 3 with it so far working much better .

I would call Berger bullets and get some load data the Berger 133 gr. for your 2506
you shoot him in the lungs he not going any where

I've killed seven deer, two elk, and one antelope with the Blackjack 131 Ace. From 300 to 1100 yards, every one of them took a single hit, and went down.
I am interested on your load that dropped the game at 1100Y, If you are willing to share. If not, powder and MV to shoot for is OK. I have the 131 BJ and 133 Berger for my .257 WBTY to try. Thanks.
