257 Weatherby loads with RL26

Start at 68 and work up, 3600-3700 FPS seems to be a good spot for mine.

The new Sierra Manual listed Re#26 for 257 WBY Mag . I burn 74grs behind a 90gr Sierra ,getting nearly 3,900 FPS under 3/4 MOA out of 26"Bartlein 10"twist .

Ran a small test in my 24" barrel 257 Vanguard with the 117 gr Sierra GK. Worked up to a max load of 71 grs of RL-26 in a Nosler case lit with a Fed 215. Velocity was 3375 ft/sec and MOA accuracy.

My buddy has a mkV ulitralite and with RL26 and the 100ttsx it shoots great and velocity is a hair over 3800 FPS.

RL22 and the 110 Accubond make a great combination.

Go to the bullet and powder manufacturers websites, search for the info needed and print load data. 3-hole punch printed into and make your own cartridge specific reloading book

Dang speedy. I need to try that in my Lipsey Number 1, it has a 28" barrel.

257 Wby MK V ultralight 26" barrel 72 grains IMR7878 100TTSX 3570 FPS no signs of pressure, 3 consecutive shots under 3/4" starting with a cold barrel.

RL26 is equal to H1000 in burn rate. H1000 is the bomb in .257 Wby for several of my friends and myself. Loading some test loads with RL26 for a 300 Win Mag now.
