I've killed a lot of animals with 100gr ttsx's out to 500 yards, but damage and wounding past that is really only marginal at best. I even killed a moose with the 100ttsx at 140yds, and his lungs were jelly. Despite killing a lot of critters with that load, I quit using the 100ttsx for long ranges after I had a 2 rounds pencil through a buck a buddy of mine wounded and I was able to get 2 follow-up shots on. Both shots were at 650 and hit through the lungs and killed the animal quickly, but the damage wasn't even as bad as I've seen from a small diameter broadhead. After that I switched to 115 ballistic tips and killed a few pigs and whitetail does at the same distance, but with significantly better results.
I use a healthy dose of imr7977, and have enough powder to burn out the rest of this barrel. I'm going to replace it for a 1:7 twist and run 121 or 128 hammer hunters, or the new 131 blackjack ACE.
