They are a flat base recommended for a 1 n 10 or faster.
Several of my friends, relatives and I are loading H1000 with the 115 Bergers with best accuracy for .257 Wby. Here in Az temperature sensitive powders are not consistent with the temp variation.I do have a single pound of the 7828ssc, I may just have to give it a whirl too. Only reason I am hoping to find H1000 works is have have 13 pounds of the stuff. And don't have a 300 anymore to use it.
Same here. The lands are gonna be tough to reach in the ULW. When starting with a new Mark 5 I always start at functional mag length and work from there. With the T/TSX that is usually a great starting point with plenty of jump.
Your 270 WBY should have 0.378" of freebore, not sure that your 270 Win should have freebore that would be a first for me hearing that. The lands are far away on your Weatherby. On my Mark V is .270Weatherby Mag, I shoot Single shot at 135/1000 ths over Suggested COAL, just for load development , and still not touching the lands. Shoots 150 Grn Nosler AB LR bullets really well . Its also far away on my Weatherby Ultra Light deer rifle in 270 Win. but I seat those to fit the Mag well. . Suggested Max COAL in the books. I Happen to use H 4831 on both of these rifles. Very Pleased with results.
Every chambering has freebore; the Weatherby chamberings just specify more than most.Thank you MT ! I will check that This weekend! BIts a 6 Lug Mark V, in 270 Win so I Just have always used the Nosier / Hornady Book Recomended CIAL ! I'm sure you are correct and there is No Free bore!! Thanks again , Lenny
