25 WSSM action for what?

OK, I understand the business philosophy of getting what you can for something you have, but if you have something that is not being produced anymore and you actually want to sell it, why jack the price up and screw a guy who could use it? I would think sell for cost or even discounted to get it off the shelf. If you think it's a collector item put it in a glass case in your den and admire it.

This post is not aimed at you @Lefty7mmstw, :)
supply and demand at its finest... sucks to be the person in need...

There are many people around that will custom load ammo for such a rifle. For the cost of the rebarrel job, you could likely get 200-300 rounds of loaded ammo that will shoot as well as the gun ever could. How much are you going to shoot this rifle?

I was actually just thinking about getting another factory model 70 barrel that someone has taken off. Tons on Ebay.

IF it's a SSA action, then your options are limited.

Anything from the 308 family, or 30TC family (Creedmoor)will be too long.
Forget about the PRC family!

You could build a Grendel, but you're looking at a bolt face change.

If you're not going to be reloading, then pretty much you're buying the gun just to buy the gun.

As a cartridge, the 25 WSSM is easy to load for, and ballistics almost match the 25-06.

This thing sat on the local pawn shop shelf for almost a year and the day I go back in to buy it, the guy at the counter said, oh a guy just left here about an hour ago with that rifle! Oh well, guess I will just have to go shop for something else!
