Dennis has applied for a California Pronghorn hunt for nearly 30 years. This year his dream hunt became a reality. He used a 25 Gibbs, which his dad built about 30 years ago. He reached out to Hammer Bullets for load data. Using Hodgdon H4831, he achieved a velocity of 3525 FPS for the 98 Shock Hammer.
The Pronghorn Buck was in full rut when he shot it at 45 yards. It sped off about 100 yards and collapsed. Dennis reported, "The bullet performed flawlessly on a beautiful California Pronghorn."
