I have a rifle built on rem 700 action with a 24" Douglas barrel. I've tried loads with H4831 and staballHD. Both powders produce flattened primers with charges that should be safe i.e. max load off 25-06 rem load data. I plan to load down until the pressure signs disappear but curious to know if any Ackley afficionados have any insights. 110 gr Hornady eld-x
56 gr H4831
Or
110 gr eld-x
58 gr staballHD

I ran mag primers when fire forming and it didn't leave any soot past the neck like when I use lrp

but curious to know if any Ackley afficionados have any insights.
What load data are you using?
I prefer using load data from the bullet mfg 1st, then the powder mfg 2nd to compare.

Would like to see a pic of the flattened primer if possible.

I also have a 25-06ai built with a Douglass barrel.

I have a sierra manual that includes 25-06ai but they do not have data for the 110 gr. I would have extrapolated data between 100 gr and 117 gr but the 100 gr data doesn't show loads for h4831.

Sorry Koda I ran the cases thru the die before I saw your post.

Testing some loads with mag primers tomorrow

I can't imagine going with much faster of a burn rate than H4831 with a 110gr.
I've seen great velocity with R23, with a 115 BT.
It maxed over 3550 with the Sherman LA.
R19 will make it howl but it's not stable, and burns hot.
I'd think R22 would be similar to 19, but haven't tried it.

Ya'll are posting CRAZY numbers compared to what I'm seeing. RN I'm around 3150 with 55.5 gr of h4831. I saw 3340 at 57.5 but the primer was pretty flat. I have not been seeing any ejector marks or having trouble lifting the bolt.

Have you measured the web expansion?

Nosler #9 shows 3115fps with a 110gr in a standard 25/06, at 51grs H4831.
24" test barrel.

You should have +150fps easy with a 26" on an AI. 200 is not unheard of.
How many shots on the barrel?

The Hornady manual for their 110gn with H4831 at max charge weight of 56.2gn shows a velocity of 3000fps. If your getting over 3100fps safely then your getting that ackley advantage and Id call that a good minimum.
Im still curious about "how flat" because that can be subjective and if your not getting any ejector marks or heavy bolt lifts then you are probably safe with some flatness up to 57gn charge weight based on your comment above. IMO if you can safely get at least 3200fps Id call it there.
