wanting to build a great long range coyote/deer/antelope gun, and was wondering if anyone ever tried a 243 wssm ackley improved. wanting to shoot 105 thru 115's in it. what do you all think

There's hardly any room for improvement. I would suggest looking into the 6-6.5X47Lapua. It'll push a 105 to 3200 comfortably, with absolutely outstanding accuracy. I recently finished one for a customer. It shot in the ones during testing. It's my favorite 6!

The 6wssm is already way overbore. Ackley improvement would only go further from any good.
I agree that the 6x47L is a better 6mm cartridge.
Far better.

With WSSMs, Winchester should have statred at 25cal, and went up from there..

It's a no-brainer when you're not using it..

While I don't like wssm in 24cal, Winchester wssm 'reloading brass' is as good as any. Same with WSM reloading brass(same brass).

I very much like Lapua brass, but it's my been experience that there a lots, and lots of particular cartridges, that are better or worse in it.
Much like Winchester or Norma, and I suspect any brand.
