Shot these five at 800 yards yesterday. Black dot is about softball size for reference.

Shot this sow with same load this evening at about 175 yards. Muddy spot is POI. 88gr ELD did the trick. DRT. Sow is longer than the rifle and weighs every bit as much as I do.

You & the 22 GT doing the job. Good shooting & looks like good performance with the 22 GT. Congrats on the fine shooting & hunting.

The ballistics are crazy good. I might put some on here later. Use a 6 GT sizer & Whidden makes seating stems for the popular bullets. Alpha makes brass. Don't even have to neck down 6 GT. Those long heavy .224 bullets are just fun.

Going to have a .22GT barrel spun up for my hunting rifle as well. I suspect I'll like it just as much in that application as in my heavy gun.

John
Had Jon Beanland of Beanland Custom Rifles chamber and thread a .22GT barrel for my hunting rig. Barrel is a Bartlein 5R 3B contour finished at 20" and threaded for a suppressor. Jon's quality of work is without peer, as shown in the video below, and the barrel is perfect.

As expected, the barrel shoots. Here's rounds 30-35 through the barrel. Four went into .127" with the "flyer" opening it up to .452."

I took the load my heavy barreled version likes, zeroed, and shot a little Whitetail buck with it at 420 yards the next morning. 1st pic is inside view, entrance side. 2nd pic is inside view, exit side, and third is outside view, exit side. Buck ran about 85 yards before calling it quits.

I'm really liking this cartridge. Ballistics are great, recoil nil, precision is outstanding, and it is very effective on game.

Congrats. I have a heavy target & lightweight hunter. It's crazy how accurate the heavy is at 1000 with a 26" barrel. It & the 6 BRA have become my favs.

For the person looking for ballistic info & load data I suggest Hodgdon online or reloading magazine. It's definitely one of my favs. I use h4350. I shoot berger 85.5 LRHTs, 90 & 95 grain SMKs. I have a heavy prs type rig & a lightweight varmiting/hunting rig. A lot of powders work & depending on your twist rate a lot of projos work also. Alpha makes high quality 22 GT brass. If not looking for this much power take a look at the 22 BR, .223, or 22 PPC.

Jon Beanland is awesome, as is the .22GT.

Congrats on fine rifle & fine shooting. Before I ever asked about the cost of a custom rifle I used to read about Jon Beanland in magazines. I can't remember if the internet was functional then. I don't think so. He's been good & well known for many decades!

Got the 'yote a few minutes ago. Berger 85.5gr Hybrid launched at about 3015fps. 300 yards. Had to hold .5 wind. Shot the pig with same load a few days ago.

So, I loaded up five 68gr Hammer HHTs for the .22GT. One charge each from 38.4 to 40gr H4350 in .4gr increments, in order to find max pressure. Only made it through the first three rounds before getting ejector marks. But they are smokin' fast and those three rounds with three different charges went into about .25".
