Started my build this week... Got all the parts I wanted, but still waiting for a Magpul DT PR stock to come into stock locally; for the time being, will just use a SL stock instead.

Using a matched set from South Texas Arms, and a Cross Machine & Tool UPHR 15" ARCA/MLOK handguard that I procured also through South Texas Arms. Mimicking the Brush Country Rifle that they have on their website, I opted for the upgrade of the ARCA over the standard handguard, as it only adds 4-5 ounces over their standard Brush Country handguard, and it's going to give me full rail real estate for an ARCA bipod, or tripod use. Plan on using this rifle to hunt Antelope, coyotes.

Picked up a KAK Industry 19" Creedmoor barrel with Rifle gas system. It's a cheap barrel, but I've talked with them and they guaranteed me MOA or better with hand loads; MOA with factory. So we shall see. I plan on using for recoil management the K-Spec buffer and flat spring. If I don't like it, I'll swap for a Armalite length tube and a H1/H2 buffer instead. Going flat 2 stage trigger with it from TriggerTech, also.

Just need to figure out optic. Thinking of grabbing a Vengeance from ZeroTech or maybe even Sig Whiskey4. Maybe upgrade later for a iRay Bolt TX60 if it shoots good enough.

But here she is. Plan on assembling tonight. If it shoot really well, I'll likely get a wild hair and paint it. But for now, it'll just stay black.

what do you have to shoot in that flat country as i know exactly where you are. been thru there many of times going to Odessa and cutting across to Ruidoso via Brownfield. our football team usually plays playoff games there. nice bank field sponsorship on their part! with yote's and lope's you'll have lots of flat land to view. maybe the alfalfa fields would be a good place to hunt.

Thanks. Yeah, most of our stuff in cultivation is 500+ yards line of sight. But around where we live, there's minimal hunting opportunities due to the amount of urban sprawl; too many homes close by. But our Antelope and Coyote country is definitely going to be wide open areas. Prairie dogs too. Not sure I wanna spend the money with this round on PD, though.

Opted to throw on my old Strike Eagle, and Foliage Green grip/stock while I wait for the Magpul DT/PR stock to come into stock. It's a toad for sure, but it's got zero recoil.
