How loud are they

Fireforming isn't that hard, I have spent 10 minutes of my free time to make 5 COW shells and shoot them. Have 15 left to do, and it's kind of enjoyable to see what the gas and wax and COW do at a couple feet.

I wonder if I made what up in my 22-250 say 6grs of unique ? Would a magnum primer help?
