21st Century mandrel die cap

I retired my 21st Cent die and use a Sinclair now. I see no real difference except the Sinclair has less side play

I have both. I bought a sinclair but then needed a bigger die for .35 rem. The 35 doesn't shoot any better with neck mandreling. It does fine with ball expander/decapper believe it or not LOL

Side play ? I see that as finding center just as well. Unless you have to fudge the case to find the mandrel ?

There was enough side play for it to tilt should something not align properly. Just eliminating a possible variable. YMMV

well they are supposed to have play... once the tapered portion aligns and is inserted, the rest is history.
