208 ELD’s and Retumbo in the 300wm

I see federal brass are not so strong , are moly in structure
The bulet go in and out a easy
But rws brass are ok
The same happened with primers also
In federal brass are going in very easy
But in rws brass normal
Make some resistance when i try to put them inside
I think other quality
I have also winchester , cineshot and s&b brasses.

I use 80.6gr a h1000 with the 208s it pushes them 3150fps I would think retumbo would push them harder than that

Hi again
Today i test some charge
So i did find very accurate charge but unfortunatly not fastest
2825 fps
0.030 to the lands
3622
77.5 gr H100
208 eld-m
Cineshot brass ( RWS )
I din not make picture for my group but was 0.2 moa
3 bullets in one hole.
My question is how long will be useful ?
I mean how long have enough energy for kill ?

I did try your charge but all was make it with 0.10 to the lands
If i will try your charge with 0.30 to the lands i have chance to find good group ?
Thank's

I never could get my 26" 300 win mag any faster than 2860 or so with the 208 eld in Nosler brass. That was a hot load in mine and Nosler 300 wm brass has around 97 gr case capacity. My 300 Norma will only push the 208 eld to around 3100. So I would say that your velocities are not all that shabby if you have a standard short throat saami chamber

Ok
Good enough for me
I use viper vortex 4-16x50 scope
With bdc reticle and 1/2 moa turets for elevation
My balistic program show me for 1100 yds 28 moa
My scope let me 36 moa
So it s ok
I will not try longest because here in my area it s enough
I intend to put targets from 500 to 1100 yds to chech if work ok to distance also
Thank s a lot for everithing and keep in touch

Yes
Ok
My barrel now it s 24
So i think it s fastest enough
With 80 gr h1000 i did get 2950 fps but was not accurate enough for me
But that charge was 0.010 to the lands and my gun work ok with 0.030 to the lands

There's not many things that walks the face of the Earth that your load won't take care of. I would call it finished and finished well.

I did try other lot of H1000
Whith the new one i did found the same 77.5 gr of powder will get less volume in the same brass .
With the first lot, powder was almost up to the neck case .
Now it s 1 - 2 mm down
How it s possible ?
Will affect me for accuracy ?

You will need to test the new powder.
If the group is much worse you need to test velocity.
Adjust powder charge to achieve same velocity and good groups should return.
