204 Ruger

I have a couple of 527's. Can't remember what base I use. But these are what I look for, for any of my CZ's or similar.

That's awesome thanks!

Shot it today for the first time. I put an old Nikon Buckmaster 6-24 on it so I could see how it shoots. Shooting 32 grain Fiocchi factory ammo was one hole at 100 yards. Still looking for a permanent scope but for now the Nikon will work in a pinch.

A Meopta 2-10x42 Optika 5 would work and look great on the CZ and they are made in the Czech Republic. Sports Match makes 30mm rings to fit the CZ527, I usually buy them from Airguns of Arizona. I may have a set, if you are interested PM me.

Incidentally, it took you long enough to shoot the rifle.

I am running a TC Venture predator model 204 ruger 1@10 twist. Topped with a Nikon buckmaster 6x18x40mm target dot. Hand loading a Berger 35 gr hp. I have several boxes of the 40 gr hp bullets. But I haven't stated loading yet. I carry my 204 in the truck daily. It's been deadly on hogs.

I've got three Vortex Viper 6.5-20X 44 mm scopes on 3 specialty pistols, 20 VarTarg, 223 Improved and 17 Fireball Remington. I like this model. It has a 1" tube and BDC reticle. It may be a discontinued model as I've only found it at Sportsman's Warehouse. My most recent one was $270, but the 50mm model is a good bit more expensive.

Howdy to a fellow Montanan and a fellow 204R aficionado! No doubt you will thoroughly enjoy shooting this caliber - it has become one of my favorite go-to calibers when shooting everything from prairie dogs to coyotes. Don't sell this caliber short as it can routinely reach out to 400+ yards quite easily if you do your part. From an optics standpoint, I prefer Leupold (buy once cry once) due to the quality and lifetime warranty. My 204R is equipped with a lightly used Leupold VX-3HD 6.5-20x40 I picked up for just under $500. This scope and the light recoil allows me to see impacts quite easily. Good luck with your 204.

Well I just purchased a beautiful little 204 Ruger in a CZ platform and am wondering what to put on it for a scope. I was hoping you gents could give me a few ideas. It appears that 1"rings are the norm as I could not find any 30mm to fit on it. I live in Montana so shots can be very long but I think most shots would be in the 200-300 yards range with the occasional one maybe a little longer. Just curious what you guys are using out there on your 204's. Thanks in advance for your posts.
Really late to the game here, but love the .204 Ruger. Have it in an MDT Chassis with a Vortex Gen II 4.5x27 and also had it with a Custom Leupold 4.5x14 that we had the custom shop put Turrets for elevation and wind.
