Yeah... guess the problem always arises when I try and make a rifle do colony plus something. Always a temptation to try and make a rifle/cartridge combo do two very different hunts. Alfalfa colony animals and sitkanak fox are concentric circles that only barely touch.
My 22-250 barrel is 4 seasons old (with brutal shot strings) Guessing I'll do a 8 twist for it and try and figure another hotrod for fox's. It's just not the same level as using a 7 rum.
6mm will happen again, soon as someone semi standardize around a rsaum/prc/wsm. Powders showing up, guess it's time to suck it up and pay the new normal prices...
