Last week I placed the order for my 1st custom rifle build. Jim See at Center Shot Rifles is doing all the work.

Here is a rundown of the components:
Surgeon single shot short action
Brux Barrel finished at 28"
CSR Muzzle Brake
Manners T2 Stock dipped in Marine Corps Desert Digital Camo
Timney Trigger set at 2 lbs
Nightforce 3.5-15x50
Badger Ordnance Rings
DuraCoat on action and barrel in light tan
Chambered in 7mm SAUM pushing 180 gr Berger VLD

It's gonna be a long couple of months!
The critters in SD and WY won't know what killed them!

Interesting cartridge choice.........why the 7 SAUM???

By the way........I had my first custom built a couple of years ago.......I chose the 7 SAUM too!

I was torn between the 7 SAUM and the 7 WSM for some time. I decided on the SAUM because it can almost copy exactly what the WSM can do, but with less powder. That and I've been known not to do what most people are doing. I hope to get good performance and good barrel life, time will tell.

Hey that sounds like an interesting rifle and caliber choice. I think you are the first that I have noticed to build up a 7SAUM. You sure picked a righteous scope.
