Curiosity is killing me on what these enfields look like when completed and converted. Sounds like a cool project and wouldn't have ever considered using an older military action as a custom platform for Lapua. Cool!
I have an extra P14 receiver sitting around and have been thinking about putting together a .338 edge.

First is a P14 in 7mm Mag.
Here's a M1917 in .308 Norma that is waiting to be blued.
and last is a M1917 in 6.5-280 RCBS that I just finished. Still needs to get blued.
