I have a17 HMR which shoots tiny little groups. And I wonder if anyone has experience with this for hunting coyotes or fox.

We've used them plenty of times before, can be effective. But they CAN make a mess of a pelt, just depends on the impact.

I've shot many coyotes, and a couple bobcats with the HMR. A great pelt round, but I've had a few runners that didn't drop on the spot. Stay off bones and you'll probably be fine......I've also seen head shots that did a absolute number of a mess
