Anybody with any experience with these in a 7-08. I'm wondering how expansion would be at non magnum velocities?

I would imagine they would work better. Minimum velocity for expansion is the same regardless of MV. At closer ranges they are less apt to blow up due to high velocity. I shoot them in a 7 wsm.

I also think You would be fine. I have been using them in two 7 SAUM's and a 7 WSM. Not a fussy bullet to get to shoot in any of these rifles. I load them just OFF the lands.
