Hi guys! Spoke with Hammar and know to look at Nosler for load data, but knew you guys have tried this bullet out. Pleased with the way they look and am excited to load them. I'm loading up the 160 grain shock hammar in 7mm rem mag, federal brass. Browning X bolt with a 26" barrel 1:9 1/2 twist. Looking to use IMR 7828 SSC, as thats about all I have besides N570, h1000 and h4350. How many grains y'all seem to be using so I can get an idea? Thanks!

There was a guy on the spreadsheet using 7828 with the 160 Gr shock hammer. But he only got up to almost 2800 fps. You may not get enough powder in the case with IMR 7828.

There was someone using the 169 Gr hammer hunter with H1000. He ended up at 68 Gr. If you want to go that route, I'd start at 65 Gr and work up.

I did see that and started a convo with him but he hasn't been active. I might use H1000. I just don't want to use H4350 as I feel its not a slow enough powder for the grain weight, but I know everyone uses it

Imr.7828 might start at 62. H- 1000 might start at 65. I don't see why either one of these powders would not work very well for you. Be careful, happy shooting. 😁

Thinking start 7828 at 60g. Should see top end about 66g. Start h1000 at 63g and end up about 68g. Start low and work up.

I am hoping for about 3100 fps out of this set up.

Ahh hi Steve!! Thanks. Just finished loading them up, went with 7828. 63.8 grs. I am using a belted magnum case so pressure shouldn't be an issue right now, plenty of room left in the casing. Hopefully the guy I'm sending these to has a chrony!! If not, I'll send him one

Did you shoot/proof that load in that rifle?
What was velocity/accuracy.
