Wanting to build another LRH rifle. This time I'm thinking of an easy toting .243 winchester using 115gr DTAC bullets for mostly coyotes with the occasional whitetail. I'm worried about the terminal performance of these "match" bullets. Has anyone taken any game with the 115gr DTAC? If so, how did it perform? I don't see me using this rifle past 800. If I need more range I have bigger and better guns.

Don't know about the Tubbs bullet, but Matrix Ballistics has a 117 that they claim performs like a Berger on game. No personal experience though.

Your twist must be right for these bullets though, but I'm interested in building a 243 AI around the MB bullets.

Last year my son shot a doe at around 200 yds with his 6x284 running around 3200 fps and it left an exit whole the size of my fist.
