anyone here use this bullet ? how does it fair out to 500 yards or more ? . also could it be loaded to 4000 fps in 300 rum ?

I've only put it in my 308. Worked great out to 300 (longest distance). I've heard that the Speer 125 TNT is better, I know that the .257 87 grain TNT is very accurate out to 400 so I think that the .30 caliber would be great.

There was a smith building 300 WSM's specifically designed to launch the 110 gr Vmax. I think he was claiming 4000 fps but that was almost assuredly with smoking hot loads. I would think that 4000 fps would be doable with the 300 RUM but I think your throat would be toast in short order.

Its been a few years ago, but a guy in PA was building a 300WSM with a 1:14 twist. He was shooting 125 NBT's at 4000+ fps. He said he likes watching ghogs explode. I know I was getting 3200fps with my 308 26" 1:10. I was able to cut a .233" group ctc prone at 100yrds. My best group to date. I think the 110 V-max shoot very good.

Tried running them at a book velocity of 3900 fps in my 1 in 10" twist .300 AI. 75% of them never made it to the 100 yd. target! Twist is the key as was stated prior. Glad I didn't try to chrono them!
