Yup used to learn a lot on here. Focused on true long range hunting. Lots of good people sharing factual information.oh the memories of days gone by. back when i would come here to read and learn for years before i even joined.

it was when long range was more than 50 ft past the swing set in the backyard of their half acre mowed lot. we had a lot more treads and true discussions and a lot less facebook/twitter type responses that have pushed so many into silence.Yup used to learn a lot on here. I also learnt a ton from all the old timers and appreciated their knowledge. I don't post any longer but ended up buying a .375 AM and .338 AM from Kirby and have taken several long range mule deer, antelope and elk with them. Amazing pioneers!Agreed! Agreed! Kirby is about half an hour's drive away from me. He does not post as frequently anymore, but when he does, he teases us all with gun porn.I also learnt a ton from all the old timers and appreciated their knowledge. This Youtube video popped up this morning in my feed as a 15 year old bit of history.
Yes 4 rings, two are pushed forward against the rail and two pushed against the rear of the scope rail. This is to counter act the two forces of the initial recoil then the opposite recoil of the brake. Kirby came up with this to prevent the scope from moving on big braked magnums. If you look on his site you will see some rifles set up this way. I bed the rings on the rail as well as the rail on the receiver and scope in the rings. All it takes is having any piece of the system move and you will be chasing your tail until you get it figured out.Am I seeing 4 rings on that nightforce?
