Nope!
I have never held "my" gun.
(I paid for it, yes, but I only saw a "window model").
And the store isn't going to refund me the money either....
So, now I shoot airguns.
At "long ranges" — considering the performance they offer!
With many of the same challenges that a centerfire shooter has to overcome — just that the ranges are different, like:
▪tiny kill zones considering the range
▪hefty wind drift
▪detrimental muzzle velocity variations
▪ranging errors with consequences
▪high magnification scopes needing repeatable turrets and holdoff reticles
What's different:
▪Airgunning usually doesn't suffer much from mirage.
▪And shots can be very very stealthy.
▪But you need to get relatively "close" to the quarry — shooting across a valley into the next county isn't happening.
I love these challenges!!
