Kristen dropped an awesome 10 pointer at 150 yards using the 101gr Hammer Hunter Bullet from a 7-08. Muzzle velocity was 3010FPS from a 20.5" barrel using Varget.

Point of clarity - this is not a vapor trail but small deposit of oil in the hollow point burning off at high velocity what we are officially calling "The Hammer Trail."

I first noticed the Hammer Trail in the Spring of 2018 out of my 300WSM

I have some that really have a trail. The last batch of 97gr 6.5 you could see the tip full of oil and leaves a nice trace right to target.
