I suggest the 1500 Chargemaster. 15yr + service for a precision instrument great in my book.
Before Vista bought them, yup. Now, not so much.

With all this happening with the RCBS Chargemaster ya think there'd be better system available to take the place of the Chargemaster.

From what I'm hearing it is my understanding, the Chargemaster is not user friendly especially when having to deal with an app etc. I don't own a eletric powder thrower and I've been reloading for over 50yrs. If I could find a unite that was accurate and dependable, simple to operate, there isn't a cost factor that faze me in purchasing it. Just my thoughts on the safety factor alone and time consuming.

Had some issues with the discharge tube/motor assembly. Took it apart and found the problem. I emailed them thinking they would say it was out of warranty. They sent me all new internal parts free of charge. Might be worth a shot.
One, always leave it plugged in. They will last nearly forever that way. Two, they really are a very simple machine. Unless the load cell went, the rest is really easy to fix yourself. Take it apart, locate problem and repair. If you can't get it working, put it back together then send it out for repair. No point in paying $185 to fix a loose or broken connection.

I'd take it, and I'll tell you why. It is 95% likely that the power converter cord blew and if you call RCBS they will send you a new power supply free of charge.

There are any number of Chargemaster models on the shelf these days, since I still use the old method of dropping a charge then individually weighing one I cannot comment on the chargemaster, however I can comment on RCBS. The new chargemasters all have one year limited warrantys, however whenever I have contacted RCBS about a failure they have warrantied the item or offered a replacement at a discounted price. Since long distance phone calls are pretty much free these days give them a call and see what they have to say. They really like to keep RCBS users in the fold so to speak.
