Ultralight Sleeping pads for elk

That's funny you mention "too hot" on Nemo tensor extreme. I used mine this fall down to 10deg or so with a potential 15 deg sleeping bag setup, I was almost "too warm" as well. It caught me off guard. Funny we are complaining about it because most would view as a good thing.

Wonder if I could sacrifice a bit of bag weight/rating and stay warm……

I bought the Nemo Tensor All Season(I think it was).

I spent 2 nights at 10.5K feet and I was the most comfortable I've ever been on the mountain! I was successful on day 3 and didn't need to stay out longer.

I use to dread spike camping because I wouldn't sleep but now Im excited for the next one!

Nemo Tensor, pick one with the insulation you want. I have a Long Wide Tensor Ultralight. Night and day better than a Thermarest, not even close. They aren't horribly loud, insulate well and the baffle design doesn't allow the air to shift crazy off when you move. It's a comfortable pad. I wouldn't compromise any lighter if that makes sense. It's worth the weight.

Their pillows are decent too but I prefer the Exped down. I use the inflatable Nemo pillow as backup in our camper or travel or car camping. Exped down in the pack.
