7 PRC vs 300 Win Mag

This is just me, but I'd take the Big 7 each and every day over the 30, especially to 500 or less.

Keep in mind I like my rifles sub 9 lbs all scoped and ready to go as well I despise brakes so for me the 7 is the way to roll.
Well this rifle is 9.5 lb Without the scope. But I like the 300WM inside 500 yds because of its "whompability". Its the same reason I like the .45-70 for short range work and the .58 cal muzzleloader for those seasons.
The 7PRC is a dandy cartridge and I was really torn between the two. I guess maybe because I previously had a 300WM and saw its effect on game that was the factor that pushed me over the fence.
I ordered a Magpul bipod for it last night...one with cant capability for uneven ground.

I almost pulled the trigger on a 300 WM but got to looking and I can get a 7 PRC for the same price at Europtic.com. Looking at the B-14 Sierra Wilderness (left hand). Nice rifle and not as heavy as the HMR which I have in 6.5CM.
I believe I'm calling tomorrow and see if they have it in stock and run up and buy it. Think I'm making the right choice for a 500+ yard rifle?
Fellow lefty here, and I actually was able to handle a bunch of Sierra Wilderness's in a LGS a month or so ago. I took some pics and videos if they'd help you?

I did too but being that this rifle in going to be for target 95% of the time I went with the HMR. I plan on sighting it in tomorrow and if get dies before I leave for Florida I'll run some loads through a chronograph to find a node or 2 using H1000 and 180 Barnes ttsx

I have two of them in different cartridges, both are lights out accurate, but I did have to put good triggers in them. I am sold on TriggerTech Diamond, excellent trigger. I believe you'll enjoy the r

Don't forget to remove the stock and scrape away the overspray from the factory over the action screws and recoil lug. I replaced the factory trigger with a Tigger tech primary trigger. This will save you a headache
