Picked up a Hillbilly Customs rifle in 6mm Creedmoor. Remington 700 short action, Bartlein #3 20" 1:8, TT trigger, Manners stock, Hawkins bottom metal. Scope is a NightForce NXS 2.5-10×42. I have a Murphy Precision titanium base on another rifle that has Hawkins rings on it. So... limited expierience with 2 of these 3, never had anything from Farrel. Looking for a 1 piece picatinny base, and rings, for this recent rifle purchase and interested in opinions. Farrell does list 4 different bases for a SA Rem 700.... Thanks in advance!

Agree. At the point trying to figure out the 4 different bases for a Rem 700 SA that Farrell offers.

All good stuff. I think all the Ken Ferrel stuff is steel. Good stuff. Generally taller rails to allow more ejection clearance. Force rails have a screw for a recoil lug (I think).

I have my Swarovski Z5 mounted in Farrel rings mounted on a Murphy Ti rail. The rings and rail are precision masterpieces that are both a thing of beauty. Both are a little $$, but I want to make sure I have a secure sight mounting system holding my scope onto my rifle when I have to take a shot. I have no experience with Hawkins, but they look like they are great too.

I have a Murphy Ti pic rail on my 22CM using Hawkins rings holding up a Zeiss V4, excellent set-up! But that's my example of one, and really curious about the Farrell Industries items. Farrell list 4 different pic bases for a Rem 700 S/A, just trying to "explore" some options. Thanks for the replies!

I've spoken to Farrell several times on the phone before and after my purchase. Give him a call and tell him what you are looking for, he will answer a lot of your questions.
