Best march moa reticle for hunting?

I think I have decided on the March 3-24x52 for my new ultralight 18" 300wsm. I am an MOA guy. This gun will probably be limited to around 700 yards with the 168 McGuire. Does anyone have a recommendation on which reticle to choose? I have never personally seen any of the March scopes but I want to give one a try. I have an illuminated mk5hd 5-25 that I think is a little thick at long range and I prefer the MOAR in my 2.5-20 NX8 but I think its a step behind the MK5hd optically. Hoping the March is a cross between the two.

I love the FMA2 and if I ever get another one it will be that or FMA1 which is the same but illuminated. Uncluttered, everything I need.

Is the FMA2 too thin for hunting or just right? Those are the two I am trying to decide between. Euro optics has the fma1 illuminated for $2400 today and I want to pull the trigger.

When I first bought a March I was worried about the reticle being too thin but in the hunting field it does just fine. Think you'll appreciate the optical quality of the March.

Thank you. I went ahead and ordered it. I originally purchased a vortex LHT but I should have the rifle anyday and I think it's going to deserve better. The Vortex can live on a rimfire or my sons rifle.

I have a 3-24x52 as well. I've used it shooting black pigs on open crop land in the moonlight and can see well enough without illuminated reticle.

I feel really good about it now. It doesn't seem like the March scopes get a lot of love. If you can shoot at night with it i won't have any issue shooting up til the end of legal time. I recently got a thermal for coyote hunting at night.

I just received the FMA-1. The reticle looks great. Haven't taken it hunting yet, but I expect great results.

I have an MTR-1 (MOA) reticle on my March 2.5x25x52 SFP scope. Nicely weighted, un-cluttered reticle. 2MOA divisions at 20X. I have used this scope for about 7 years. Excellent glass and mechanical performance, light weight, and compact. Mounted on one of my 6.5x284's that I wanted to get the total weight of the (chassis) rifle down. Game taken(antelope) to 1181 yards.

My comments align with GREYFOX. I have same scope but with MTR-3, which is nearly same reticle. I exclusively hunt anywhere from the thick woods of Alabama (deer, hog) to the wide open spaces of Wyoming (Antelope). As noted before, I find the March scopes to be underated for what they deliver. This is a SFP scope, which is preferred (by me) for hunting as it avoids what can be very thin reticle lines at low magnification. The trade-off is I dial for all drops. My theory is, if I need to dial, the animal is far enough away I can risk the additional hand movement and have the extra 2-3 seconds to do it. Again..."my preference". I also hunt with NF MOAR and MOAR-T. The MARCH reticle thickness is somewhere inbetween these. The MOAR-T is really marginal for woods hunting, it is VERY thin. Good luck with your decision, you will not be disappointed with March. Have hunted with mine for > 10 yrs on 6.5 SAUM and a 300NM. Lastly... I love the turrets, very tactile clicks and completely accurate and repeatable.

I have 3 March. My favorite is the 3-24x42 FML-1 for a compact, light, high quality, and tough scope. I've beat it up for over 10 years on a 7RUM that weighs just under 8lbs all done up. They are way under rated in my opinion . For a FFP reticle at 3x power, there's enough in the rest of the reticle to point and aim quickly with the thickness of those lines of the cross hair. They're a great scope.

Thank you for all the responses. I ordered the illuminated fma1 in 3-24x52. Not many similar scopes in the same weight class.

I have the FML-1 in my scope. It was the primary reason for me forking over the cash for a March scope, that and the low tactical turrets. I absolutely love my decision.
