Thinking 338 wsm. I have a custom 350 mag XP-100R and something with the same umph but better bullets sounds like a winner for at range deer hunting. The 350 has taken 3 bison to date and many deer.

I've been debating on a 338wsm or 338x284 xp build. I'm ordering a barrel for a 338 whisper build but only need 5 inches so I'll turn the rest into somthing big
