Has anyone had a chance to play with both of these? If so which would you prefer and why. I honestly think I would prefer the reticle of the Zeiss over the Tract. Glass clarity is a large concern as well as good reticle for hunting purposes.
I am assuming both will track well when being dialed up and down.
I like that the Tract can be ordered with the windage capped, and I dont belive you can get the Zeiss windage capped. This will be the scope on my main hunting rifle and will possibly be the last expensive scope I buy. It will live on my waypoint 6.5 prc. I will play with it out to 1000 at the range, but way more concerned about the use of it as a hunting scope taking shots out to around 600 max on game.

Thanks for the opinions.....

Any thoughts? Send me a private message if you dont feel like airing your thoughts for the public....lol.

I have the Ziess LRP S3. It does not have a capped windage turret but it must be pulled up to turn. I like the 45 mils of elevationadjustment. So yes you will be able to dial your 6.5 PRC to 1000yds LOL. the turrets are are both very crisp and can be heard if you count that way. I had a friend with me when I bought mine and he said the glass was far superior to the Night Force NX8 4-32.
I had one issue my paralax or focus turret was not right a factory glitch. But Ziess is repairing it for free. The red or green reticle ia a very nice feature too. I have not stretched mine out yet but my last shots before I sent it in put 3 shots into .837 at 200yds.That was with my 338 RUM with a 300 grn. Berger Elite Hunter. Hope this helps you.

Love my Zeiss S3, can't speak for the Tract but have heard good things. Also if you have time checkout the Maven's, as their good stuff.
