Our rifle season has come and gone, 27/30 Bull tags were filled, not exactly sure what happened to the 3 unlucky hunters. Overall personally I thought a record breaker would be harvested, but it didn't happen yet, but there's one more early winter season to go at the end of the month...who knows what those lucky dawgs will find....enjoy as always.

Are most of these guided? Are most killed on public or private? The size of these bulls are unreal. Is it more of a shopping trip? I'm curious what the hunt is like out there? Oh, and I'm insanely jealous!

Crazy that in the 5th pic, there is an entire herd of elk standing behind the hunter posing with the downed bull...gotta make you wonder on how wild some of these animals really are.

I believe these were all guided and most on public land..the only shopping trip would be if you brought your wife and she managed to find a store..tags are the problem, extremely limited, unless you have an extra $300'000 laying around and buy the 1 RMEF tag...lol, everyone watching for years is scratching their heads..biggest so far that I know of is this 454 taken in archery season.

Plenty wild, imagine harvesting the herd bull in front of all his ladies..cow kill was only 50% of the issued tags.

We have killed plenty of head honchos with a harem. Not once have I had the ladies stick around to see their dead boyfriend get handled by a human. Another bull will gather up those honeys within 12 hours during the rut.

Beautiful bulls no doubt. But do you see that herd standing behind the hunter in the next to last photo? That surely is not free range public land...........

That's pretty wild for free range elk, and I believe they're free range!
