Yes, I am not saying an SG less than 1.4 is instant death because it isn't.We've been shooting the 80 (AMAX and ELDM) and 88's for many years in 1/8" twists without any issues.
We have seen it done both some with good outcomes and some with bad for the 88 ELDM in 8 twist. But if someone buys an 8 bbl and it doesn't work out with those 88s or 90s then they cannot complain.
If they are aware of the risks and can accept them, I see no reason not to try some since the cost of a single box is nothing compared to the grand scheme of things. The point is to make them aware that on one day they can get a different outcome just because the bullet is tipping over.
This stuff I posted is just to help out if folks don't understand the twist issues and what SG calculation are and what they are not. A parametric model isn't like an equation that balances exact forces. It is more like a generalized model where the results are judged based on many observations and many different bullet versions. It is a grey scale that shifts odds as it changes from good to bad odds.
