Nx8 alternatives

Yeah my favorite stomping grounds is usually dark lit black spruce, the steiner/burris reticles struggle (others as well but my burris and steiner examples have topped the list for hardest to see).

For the price I'll have to give it a try, certainly checked way more box's than the other options.

Well I will say this, the illumination on them is some of the best I've seen/used!!

I'm interested that SWFA just released a Gen-2 HD scope line that includes a 3-15x42 option with zero stop, etc. Very similar to the Trijicon scopes - they seem to have a small but devoted following and, until now, I don't think they've offered that specific option in their Gen1 HD lineup.
Where did you see the gen-2 HD lineup released?

As much as I like the NX8 for its purpose, I feel like I'm struggling a lot with the eyebox. What is everyone else running for a similar purpose that is easier to get behind. Looking for something with good to great glass.

Thinking on:
Maven Rs1.2
Trijicon tenmile 3-18x44
Or Step up to Minox 5-25 or 3-15
I didn't read the entire thread yet, but did you take off the rear ocular cover? I tell everyone this. The eye box opens HUGE when you remove it. It's such a poor design that gives the scope a bad wrap.
They just don't have a tight eye box in the 4-32.

Zeiss V8 1.8-14 is the 8X done right. Absolutely amazing scope. Eye-popping color, edge to edge clarity through the entire power range, very generous eye box, flawless movement and repeatability. It banged around with me through three states on a 338 RUM this year over 4,000 miles with a ton of time on the pack and on 2 tracks and remained zeroed and dialed as needed perfectly. I have an NX8 2.5-20 as well and there is no comparison from an ease of use standpoint. I still like the NX8 for the little time I have behind it, it's not like it's un-useable for alot of applications, but there are better options IMHO.
