Go Wolverine KICK BUCKEYES ASSES.
My limited experience first hand and that of countless others will have to agree. Not sure that the 350 will do 300 yards. Will it kill at 300 sure perfect placement and punch a 35 cal hole. But most bullets drop below the min fps to open at 225 yards or less. I have got zero bullets to open at 300 yards. Killed a few deer close to that but bullet never opened.
I'm in Livonia (West of Detroit) until the end of Dec should you want to get together and talk hunting. I live in Wy and have killed quite a few elk. Also a bunch of deer and pronghorn. Happy to discuss details. Email me for my phone number.

I'm not correcting myself in explaining vernacular to you. I'm clarifying because you seem to be out of touch. What put me off was you saying Michigan was a straight wall state when it's not . Now you corrected yourself , so ok ,if it was an honest mistake , I get it .
It's the little things that give it away .
And yes , I'm a cynical old guy , but the jury's still out .
Welcome !
Alright , I admit I was wrong , I'm sorry !I'm not correcting myself in explaining vernacular to you. I'm clarifying because you seem to be out of touch.
This is honestly getting embarrassing, regardless of age.
I did a bunch of testing for a few people and companies when they launched the legend. Knowing it would be popular here. I was actually shooting deer at distance and killing them closer to 300 yards but shot were perfect. Zero blood trail when I found them bullets never opened. Water testing at 300 showed zero bullet expansion. My limited experience first hand and that of countless others will have to agree.
I shoot bear creek ballistics 350 legend rounds, which are considered the cream of the crop in Michigan for deer season. No relation to the budget brand bear creek arsenal..
Even at about 250 yards you're in the territory of just wounding a deer with 350 legend more than you are effectively placing a lethal shot.
And that's with custom loaded $2/round ammo.
Their own data shows a 167 yard zero and a 21" drop at 300 yards.
A ground blind with a tripod might help but that shot unsupported out of a tree stand or saddle is above the skill level of the overwhelming majority of guys I shoot with or know.
I'm on the other side of the state but work over your way almost weekly. I would also be more than willing to help you out if I can.Thank you. I think I'm still below the post count minimum to message others but will do once I pass that threshold.
That's interesting. Mirrors my experience last season. I took two with it in one evening, both very minimal blood trail using Hornady white tail.I did a bunch of testing for a few people and companies when they launched the legend. I won't break 230 yards with mine and I'm shooting hand loaded hammer bullets.
I've run a bolt action American, and a 16" bear creek upper ar. Just about to test subsonic rounds in a few weeks. Have a sbr with a hybrid 46 to test. It's pretty quiet for an ar setup. That's interesting. Mirrors my experience last season. I took two with it in one evening, both very minimal blood trail using Hornady white tail.
I've heard good stuff about the hammers but not setup to load 350 yet. Bear creek ammo has performed pretty well with blood but the two deer that we failed to recover were both around 250 yard shots.
Which rifles did you test with? Always curious. Any suppressed testing too?
Hearing safe? I was between the 46 or a griffin bushwhacker for mine.I've run a bolt action American, and a 16" bear creek upper ar. Just about to test subsonic rounds in a few weeks. Have a sbr with a hybrid 46 to test. It's pretty quiet for an ar setup.
Thank you! Im here for this reason, just not able to describe it anywhere near as elegantly as you just did.Sorry This is becoming and old post and I've been a little busy trying to help friends out with their hunts and trying to squeeze in the pheasant hunt before my dog decides to kill me in my sleep.
This post is not towards anyone specific just my thoughts.
How many of us wanted to hunt Alaska, Africa, New Zealand and started a post to see about living out that dream?
Just to have some one else try to crush it?
How many have spent money on a dream rifle for a dream hunt just to have someone you don't know nothing about start getting you down?
Don't listen to the nay Sayers do what God put into your heart. Your a man designed to explore and take risks. Imbrace that and don't worry about the results but the destination.
Good luck to all the dreamers and doers out their.
They are and always have been the pioneers for the weaker at heart.
