Rear bag for person who cannot squeeze well

Anybody try this? It could allow adjustments with my shooting hand without destroying my position….maybe.

It's more for field use then bench use.
If you want something for bench use, buy a good front rest with elevation and windage adjustments and an Edgewood or equivalent rear bag.

Try a tripod extension fixed to your stock on the offhand side, Use the 3/8 thread to attach a 3/8 threaded rod with a coupling nut and rounded end cap, use the extension telescope for macro and the threaded ball for micro adjustment. the advantage over a bag is the complete rigidity. I know, not very detailed, but if you're interested you can ask.

Squeeze bags are not meant to be squeezed hard.

You use it for manipulation of the stocks toe. It's a micro adjustment. Usually for the prone, or off a bench, but you can do it in the sitting position too.

There's no real way to use this as a squeeze bag because you won't have positive control of this since you will be using the pump. If you can squeeze the pump, I'm pretty sure you can squeeze a bag.

They make other bags besides sand bags to squeeze for the rear. Like "squishy rear bag" by Armageddon gear.

Get some large boot socks and some bags of small beads from a hobby store. You can use them to make your own customizable rear bags to suit your hand size/strength

You may be able to use an adjustable bag rider on a relatively solid bag. They are very solid and adjust quite easily, I have found them to be more accurate than my bean bag alone, resulting in smaller groups.

I have 5 bags made from socks, each are filled with (inside plastic bags of course) rice, beans, peas, each has a particular rise and fall. I have been using them since in the military, and for the years since.
At the range I see several using the same set up. Cheap easy and adjustable for each person. But then I'm a cheap retired warrant hahaha. Try different ways and textures some like beads from hobby stores but I like having extra chow as well. Good luck with your choices.

This is for field use with a front bipod. I have a good bench setup. I'm looking for a good rear setup for shooting prone.

I'm missing my left hand. I wear a hook. At this point, squeezing is just pushing into a rear bag with the hook. Not ideal, but offers some squeezing. I'm hoping to manipulate the pump with my right hand up near the grip.

I have found that a good(perhaps better) alternative to squeezing the rear bag is to use a sloped bag that can make fine adjustments in elevation by either sliding the rifle or the bag. It's particularly useful in maintaining position if the game animal/target requires coming off the rifle and re-ranging/rifle adjustment due to movement or a condition change. My preference is the Hunters Wedge Mini-Bag/with spacer. It is small, light, versatile, and has given me solid performace since I started using it when introduced some years back. IMO.

The thing about socks is they come in different sizes and can be customized, maybe get one that's fits inside and can be pulled toward the shoulder to adjust. Just a thought brother.
