Benchmark carbons on sale. Huge selection

Forgive the re-barreling newbie -

Looking for a 20" for my 6.5PRC Tikka. Gonna throw it in an XLR. Everything I've looked at so far specifically said pre-fit and fit the Tikka. Would these, particularly the 6.5mm, sendero light 20", work or would I need a smith to do some work on it?
These are not prefit barrels. These are blanks and you would need a Smith to chamber and thread the barrel for your action.

They need chambered by a competent rifle builder.

That's what I figured! Thanks for the clarification. If you get a chance, can you shoot me a picture & weight of that 6.5mm 20"?

3 lbs 1 oz without any machining done to it or the extra length of the stub on the end cut off.

Thanks! And last question(s) 1. What's the muzzle diameter? 2. This barrel would work with my Tikka 6.5prc just need a smith to get it chambered, crowned, and threaded?

Muzzle diameter is .885". Alot of builders will face the tikka actions off a bit so a 1.200 shank barrel will work on them. I know Jeremy Laier at Laiers Customs does quite a bit of work on tikkas. Great dude.

Ryan is right, and I've done that on 2 of my tikka actions for this exact reason. The face of the tikka actions will contour down, but there are no threads on that part so has no affect on the strength of the action. In fact with a larger contact area for the battle to mate up against will only benefit it. Tikka tennon size for barrels is typically 1.130", but the 1.200" is more of an industry standard and opens up a lot more available access to suppliers' inventory down the road.

The downside to this is, you can never run a prefit barrel on that action though. You will get much better results from a good smith doing a custom chambering job, but for most people a prefit works just fine for their needs as well.
