new barrel

My name is Scott Rousseau. I am the shop manager for Jarrett Rifles. I am sure there are plenty of other places you have posted this, but I'm not chasing you all over the web.

Sam,
I really don't know what more to say to you. You seem hell bent on trash talking me and Jarrett Rifles. I told you every step of the way I would work with you. You said you didn't want Jarrett brass. I said I would go back and work on the tune with the 8mm brass. I said if I quoted you a different price, I would stand by it. "Let me go back and look at my notes " was exactly what I said. You immediately started cussing me, which I told you I would not listen to.

Nowhere did you ever mention a daughter, only that you wanted to use your own brake. Which I accommodated even though we don't typically thread 1/2" 24 Left hand threads.

We didn't bed the action. We opened the barrel channel slightly to accept the new barrel. That's it. The trigger was filthy, we cleaned it.

The rifle shot 3210 fps with a 160 AB. I shot it the day before we shipped it. It shot .6 with Nosler 8mm and. 4 with the. 300 Jarrett brass.

As for the later than expected delivery, we were shut down for a week and a half with no power after Helene. It put me behind on everything and is the reason you couldn't get a hold of us.

End of the day, I sent you everything I said I would and didn't even ask you to pay for anything. You are the first customer I have had an issue with that I couldn't work out an amicable resolution.

It bothers me quite a lot because I make every effort to be honest and straightforward. My reputation means everything to me personally and the reputation of Jarrett Rifles is something I am working to protect. I would not have sacrificed it for $2400.00.

I won't continue to engage you Sam, but I will defend myself when I come across your nonsense.

Lies and more lies. You did not work with 8 mm mag brass or if you did why did you send tell me it still shot better with the 300 Jarrett brass and even sent loaded Jarrett brass that shoots worse than any of the other brass. Well after I told you not to use Jarrett brass. You lied to me, repeatedly! Yes I told you everything I said I did. The absolute worst part is the gun will NOT shoot! It is at best a 3" gun at 100 yards. You did something to the stock. The front action screw will not stay tight. It came to me from Jarrett that way. Whatever you did to the stock, the black crap, is flaking off and looks horrible. McMillan will not touch stock because of what you did to it. Several people have shot the gun, not one person has shot under a 3" group at 100 yards and that is if it groups. Off a rest, at 100 yards, it will shoot 1 shot 4" left of a small black dot and the next shot will be 4" right of the black dot! 8" apart! Yes I will bash Jarrett and you especially. At a minimum you were going to charge me $600 more than what you told me everything would cost. You did not communicate with me, and did whatever, even when I asked you not to! As far as I can tell you tried one powder. The 27" barrel you put one is much slower than the 26" factory barrel on my sendero and yes the barrel, Jarrett or someone installed, I don't think Jarrett did the work, will be taken off and I will have someone that knows what they are doing put one on. The gun will not shoot a group and won't even hit an 8" plate at 200 yards. Well, 1 out of 15 shots or so will. I believe if you knew the gun would shoot, you would not have sent it to me for no cost. I felt bad be when you did that, and was going to pay anyways, even it was a 1" gun, but it is not even close to that.

The trigger? That explains why it came back sloppy and right at 5 lb pull. And now it won't adjust below 3, I kept it at 2-1/2 and crisp. So not only did Jarrett screw up McMillan stock, they screwed up a Timney trigger also.

I would not do business with Jarrett rifles.

Tell you what, you come to Tennessee and shoot the gun, if it shoots .3" groups I will apologize and pay you the price we agreed on. If it doesn't you pay a real gunsmith to repair the damage you did and put a barrel that will shoot on it. I am sure you won't since you already know the gun won't shoot.

If I can the pic to load, just to be even more sure, myself and 5 others shot at this piece of paper at 250 yards. Only one shot hit the paper. Barely. Jarrett rifles could not make a BB gun work.
