Took this mulie stag, sometimes referred to as a "cactus" buck. There is still speculation as to what causes the condition genetics, disease, or injury to the testicles. Regardless of the underlying cause, it is driven by abnormality with the testicles. These bucks never drop their antlers and never lose their velvet. The antlers just keep growing with velvet on them.

Not that many years ago it was common for the buckaroos to rope and castrate young bucks, creating monster bucks that are much better eating.
